Dialed LLC (“Dialed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Dialed mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
Bike & Component Data: Bike details (year, brand, model), component specifications, service history, notes, and wear levels you enter.
Photos: Images of your bike and components that you capture or upload within the App.
Feedback: Any messages or feedback you submit through the App.
Information Collected Automatically
Usage Data: App interactions, screens viewed, features used, and session duration (collected anonymously via PostHog).
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version (for crash reporting via Sentry).
Crash Reports & Diagnostics: Error logs and performance data to improve App stability.
Information from Third Parties
Strava: If you connect your Strava account, we receive ride activity data (duration, distance, elevation) to automatically update component wear tracking. We do not access your Strava social data, followers, or personal health metrics beyond ride activities.
Apple Sign In / Google Sign In: If you use social sign-in, we receive your name and email address (or a relay email in the case of Apple).
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
Track component wear and send maintenance reminders.
Process bike photos using AI (Claude by Anthropic) to identify components.
Sync ride data from connected services like Strava.
Send push notifications about service intervals (with your permission).
Analyze anonymous usage patterns to improve the App.
Diagnose and fix crashes and technical issues.
Process subscription payments (via Apple App Store or Google Play).
AI Processing
Dialed uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to identify bike components from photos you submit during bike setup. Here is how this works:
Photos are sent to our secure server (Supabase Edge Function), which forwards them to the Anthropic API for analysis.
Anthropic does not use your photos to train their AI models.
AI results are suggestions only and should be verified by the user.
You are informed about AI usage during onboarding before any photos are processed.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
Service Providers: Supabase (database & storage), Anthropic (AI processing), Sentry (crash reporting), PostHog (anonymous analytics), RevenueCat (subscription management), Expo (push notifications).
Strava: Only the authentication tokens necessary to sync your ride data. We do not share your Dialed data with Strava.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers.
Authentication tokens are stored on-device using encrypted secure storage.
We use HTTPS for all data transmission.
Photos are stored in private Supabase Storage buckets accessible only to your account.
Your Rights & Choices
Access & Export: You can request a copy of your data by emailing us.
Deletion: You can request account deletion by emailing hello@dialedmtbapp.com. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.
Strava: You can disconnect Strava from the App at any time in Profile settings.
Analytics: The App uses anonymous analytics by default. No cross-app tracking is performed.
Children’s Privacy
Dialed is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the “Last Updated” date.
